. Stretch SUV .
Yeah dude. today was the first time in a stretch SUV limo thing. Kathleen wanted to do something cool for her bf, jeff (both on our dragon boat team), so she rented a stretch limo. she footed most of the bill, but people riding still had to put down $75. OUCH. and she still payed like a great deal of the bill herself. Anyways, we drove around and drank while gettin driven around to various bay area locations.
Side note, vanilla absolut vodka is hella nasty. GROSS. so hard to drink blech.

That's right i saw will hung in person. he was doing a demo for a sony ps2 product at GDC (Game Developers Conference). that was totally unexpected and funny.

So apparently, recently some doctor patented some faster way to sequence dna or something. He believes that the human race has gotten to the point where it can "change" itself for the better. Personally, i think that sort of empowerment is a free ticket to genocide and powermonging.
. Chevy Cavalier .
Went to LA this past weekend for a wedding. during our stay there, i had the use of a gold Chevy Cavalier. Yes, this car, in a word (or two), is a deathtrap. Good lord this car sucks serious baloney. Not even talking about power here, which i'm sure most of you think i'm talking about. No, this car is just flat out unsafe. I was SCARED drivign it, especially in the rain.
This thing lost traction as i was braking to stop at a yellow light. i was sliding around and slid a bit into the intersection before stopping. i wasn't even braking hard! not to mention, i tried pumping the brakes since it didn't have ABS, but that was pointless as the brakes woudln't disengage immediately after i lifted my foot off of it! wtf is that! so it would be sort of like a retard pumping the brake pedal cuz that's as fast as it woudl respond.
not so pc, but you get my point
And then there was this weeeeird sway. i've never felt a car do that before. instead of it's body rolling side to side like normal cars when you take turns, it once or twice moved laterally to the suspension. LATERALLY. wtf! like... sideways! i mean sometimes it would roll some, but sometimes it dragged SIDEWAYS. i mean, what are you even supposed to do when you fell you car moving directly left or right! that's just bizarre.

I don't really know what words will adequately describe what we did for cat's brithday yesterday. We went to this sorta death/thrash metal concert last night. First there was this group "Ghoul". well, i was gonna draw a picture of these guys, but i'm too lazy right now. but basically, they're sorta dressed up in metal outfits but they have on white pillowcases on their heads and they stained the part in front of their mouths with fake blood. bizarre, right? well.. it gets better. they sang a song about fucking babies. Like. "Proper fucking", as they said in the movie "Snatch". ie, babies, fucking them. wtf!
Then there was like... er.. what was it, phantom limbs or something? yeah, they sang 7 songs related somehow to the 7 sins. they sucked too. hahaaha
then there was what we actualy came to see. "Captured by Robots". it's this one guy, and he built a bunch of robots to play instruments as his band. it's this whole show almost, he like jokes with them and they say jacked up stuff. now this guy wasn't half bad. ok, well, he was exactly half bad. which is 2x better than the other bands at least. 1/2 the songs i actually thought were kinda cool. the robot thing is a cool gimmick.

So, I wrote this cliff notes summary of lord of the rings: the fellowship of the ring, cuz somebody hadn't seen it before, and didn't want to watch the 2nd one without the first... people seemed to really enjoy my summary, so here it is reproduced for the wrold to enjoy.
- bad guy makes magic ring giving him bad ass power
- humans end up with it because they're greedy punks after big war but gets owned and ring lost
- hobbit finds ring from smiegel the scrawny comptuer digital guy.
- hobbit nephew (frodo) receives ring from uncle who found it
- reemerging evil power of bad guy #1 sends evil spirit dudes to go get it
- run hobbit run
- gandalf goes to ask big head honcho magic guy for advice.
- turns out he's a turncoat ass dumpling and beats up gandalf.
- gandalf gets away.
- meet up at elf land
- dude liv tyler is a hottie. but she's banging human scruffy guy. saves frodo that got stabbed by evil spirit dudes and keeps hi mfrom turning into a evil spirit dude too.
- turns out human scruffy guy is sole heir of the human king who got owned and lost the ring
- elves tell that only way to destroy bad ring is toss into the flames at mordor, where bad guys made it
- frodo says, shit shut up you whiney bastards, i'll take it to the damn volcano, gad damn it!
*- fellowship of ring formed: 1. current human leader, 2. dumbass dwarf guy, 3. pretty boy elf guy (girls swoon), 4. gandalf, 5. hobbit fewlz, 6. aragorn the scruffy
- proceed to run around trying to get to mordor, killing things along the way
- gandalf gets owned by giant firey dude
- get to another elf tree place. these elves are more pissed off than the other ones.
*- galadriel screams really loud and scares shit out of frodo. but she doens't gaffle his shit. instead she gives him some cool stuff.
- human leader gets ass killed by uber orc baddies, after he tries to gaffle ring from frodo
- wah wah boo hoo
- frodo decides he's causing the group too much trouble so ventures out on his own. oh such heroism
